Our Philosophy

Peace Child Care offers a Christ-Centered, nurturing environment that facilitates the learning and development of each individual child. We strive to foster a community that is built on mutual respect and developmentally appropriate practice for young children. Our practices are grounded on Biblical truth, open-ended exploration of the natural world, implementing effective instruction based on current best practice in early childhood including child-led and child-initiated learning, and engaging in purposeful documentation of each individual child’s development. We desire to build meaningful relationships that promote the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of the whole child.

Spiritually: To foster the development of Christian values by experiencing God's love through Bible stories, prayer, and music.

Socially: To facilitate the development of relationships built on kindness and empathy towards others.

Emotionally: To encourage a safe place where children feel secure in recognizing and identifying their emotions and feelings and are able to develop a positive self-concept.

Intellectually: To inspire curiosity, problem solving, and critical thinking about the world around them.

Physically: To promote open-ended experiences for movement, healthy eating, and self-help skills.
